Insulation materials such as glass wool and urethane are not materials that cut off heat, but rather heat storage materials that accumulate heat. They are also materials that delay heat conduction, acting as heat propagation retardants. Therefore, they are materials that absorb heat when exposed to electromagnetic waves (radiant heat) such as ultraviolet and infrared rays. In winter, they store heat (heat transfer occurs), but in summer, they can have the opposite effect. The most common form of heat transfer is not conduction, but rather radiation, which accounts for about 70% of heat movement.
